Telstra Launches New Global Plus (G+) Application-Centric Global WAN Management Service - Powered By Fluke Networks

New Service Provides Enterprise-Wide Visibility and More Efficient Use of Interoffice WAN Links for Multinational Organizations

EVERETT, Washington and MELBOURNE, Australia (Mar. 10, 2006) — Fluke Networks announces a major implementation of its Visual UpTime® Select™ solution by Telstra Corporation Limited. Telstra, the leading telecommunications operator in Australia, is launching the Global Plus (G+) Application-Centric WAN Management Service, which is powered by Fluke Networks' Visual UpTime® Select™ solution. The new managed service provides Telstra's multinational customers a global, integrated WAN service suite that improves WAN link performance, resulting in best use of existing resources and increased user satisfaction.

G+ incorporates Visual UpTime Select's hardware probe instrumentation integrated with its centralized management software, creating a proactive application-centric WAN service management paradigm. Visual UpTime Select provides in-depth, real-time and historical information that enables organizations to intelligently manage application and network performance and availability across the entire enterprise.

"We look forward to the opportunity to work with Telstra to help its customers enhance network and application performance across their global infrastructures," said Daniel Kim, Managing Director of Asia Pacific for Fluke Networks' Visual Networks division. "Organizations across the globe can look to Visual UpTime Select to improve business productivity by having a holistic, proactive view of enterprise network and application performance with the unmatched flexibility to access granular site-by-site performance."

G+ provides clients real-time visibility into Layers 1-7, enabling rapid and efficient monitoring, analysis and troubleshooting down to the network, server and application levels. The offering provides proactive event monitoring and threshold action, SLA definition and management, network performance planning and reporting and application-defined performance planning.

Telstra's new service is optimized for IP applications and features a seamless global MPLS backbone, which can support a Telstra branded IP/VPN service offering spanning across five continents. G+ can be seamlessly and transparently deployed within any Telstra-provided enterprise network type, topology or technology with security and peace of mind for the customer.

To meet customers' varying needs, G+ is available in two service grades: enhanced and premium. Enhanced G+ provides site-to-site network performance management with full visibility into Layers 1-3. Premium G+ is the solution of choice for enterprises that want to optimize both network and application performance.
