One day
This training course teaches students the concepts and tasks required to use the Customer Care application to assist customers in providing detailed information about end-user call attempts and success/failure information. This course is designed for students whose responsibility is working with end-users to diagnose network performance and connection problems.
- Logging into the IP InSight web application
- Interpreting customer Call Log files
- Retrieving connection records for an end-user
- Conducting Broadband Advisor Test to locate connection problem
- Creating Connection Performance Report for troubleshooting
One day
This training course teaches students the concepts and tasks required to use the Service-Level Management application to ensure that Network Operation Center (NOC) personnel are delivering services at established Class of Service (CoS) levels.
This course is designed for students whose responsibility is monitoring and
reporting network performance, CoS levels, and validating Service-Level
Agreements (SLA) through use of the View SLA Report or Status application - and
associated links to network and connection summary and detail reports. - Logging into the IP InSight web application
- Creating Network Performance Tests to generate metric data
- Setting Service-Level Agreement levels to validate metric data;
- Viewing of the Service-Level Manager Report or Status
- Managing dial, dedicated (LAN, DSL, Cable Modem) and VPN.
Three days
This training course teaches students the concepts and tasks required to perform their network operations responsibilities. This course is designed for system administrators who are installing the Visual
IP InSight system and who will administer it after installation. It covers all
the materials discussed in the Customer Care and Service-Level Manager Training.
This course is intended for network management center personnel seeking a detailed understanding of the Visual UpTime Select application, its system architecture and system configuration.- Planning an installation, installing Visual IP InSight, and troubleshooting the installation
- Configuring the system and administrating users
- Monitoring connection performance and network performance and configure alerts and reports
- Configure Service Level Manager and User Reports to monitor CoS levels
- Solving individual user connection problems using the Customer Care application
Five days
This training course focuses on providing the students with real world scenarios
of Visual IP InSight 5.5 installation and implementation.This five-day program, inclusive of certification exam, is designed to
qualify individuals to fully utilize the Visual IP InSight product. It is
designed for partners, system engineers, and technical support personnel who are
involved with implementing and administering the Visual IP InSight system.
Students will learn how to effectively install, configure, maintain and
troubleshoot Visual IP InSight for monitoring network connections, performance
and CoS parameters, performing tests, as well as configuring necessary alerts
and reports.
- Planning an installation, installing Visual IP InSight 5.5, and troubleshooting an installation
- Configuring IP InSight 5.5 and administering users
